It’s a Party!
To celebrate the release of my new cookbook “Sweet Paleo” my family and I are having a party on Saturday, March 21st from 5-7 pm (maybe longer if we’re having fun!)
Event Location
We found the perfect venue for the event. It’s a new grainless bake shop in Short Hills, NJ not far outside New York City:
Squirrel & The Bee Grainless Bake Shop (See bottom of this post for more photos of their space and food)
551 Millburn Ave., Short Hills, NJ 07078
Get Directions here
Squirrel and The Bee serves delicious baked goods, sweet treats, coffee, soups and salads. They specialize in baked goods that are made of grain-free flours and sweetened with honey. Their products are geared toward people who like to have choices for vegan, grain/gluten-free, dairy-free, Specific-Carb Diet (SCD) and the Paleo Diet. Sounds perfect, right?
Free Samples
Join us for an evening of fun including free samples of Sweet Paleo recipes. I’m planning on serving:
- Raspberry Coconut Macaroons
- Chocolate Bacon Almond Bark
- Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies
There will also be coffee and other items for sale from Squirrel & the Bee Grainless Bake Shop. They offer freshly made nut milks and coconut milk for their coffee. This is the real deal, not the cardboard tasting coconut milk served at Starbucks.
Door Prizes and Giveaways
The event is free and kids are welcome. We will have books available for purchase at the event and I will be happy to personalize one (or more) for you! You can check out more details about Sweet Paleo in my previous post.
We will also have door prizes and giveaways. In fact, I will be giving away:
OXO International Digital Food Scale
Wellbee’s Superfine Almond Flour 2 lb bagBella Cucina Donut Maker
Please join us if you can and if you know anyone in the New York/New Jersey Metro area who might be interested, please pass this invitation along to them! There’s an event posting on Facebook about the event. You can RSVP there. Thanks!
Mr. Valle agreed to pose for me.
So jealous we don’t have Squirrel and The Bee here in Portland!!!! Sounds AMAZING. There is nothing even close here. Cheers to you on your new book. Your cake recipes are the best I have found in the paleo blogging world. I will definitely be adding your book to my collection and know i can try something new and have it be successful on the first try. The new sight is so beautiful!
Aw, Melody. What a nice compliment. Thank you. I hope you like the book! Also, I might be coming to Portland in the near future for a book signing. Maybe Powell’s?
I just bought your book this morning (I’m in Sydney, Australia) and am super-excited to try the recipes! They all look so delicious. Unfortunately I’m on a month-long cleansing-type diet of soups, steamed veg, fish, chicken, etc but your recipes have me salivating for when I can try them, and I’m sure my family will enjoy anything I cook for them in the meantime, if only I can decide what to bake first!
I love the way you’ve written the introduction, all so helpful, especially the idea of using “paleo” as ‘code’ (a concept which I am always trying to explain to my husband and mother). I hope you have great sales, and I will be trying recipes from your blog, also. All the best.
Fiona,
What a nice comment! I hope you love the book. Good to know there are sales in Australia. 🙂
Best, Lea
I would love to come to your party.
But I live in Australia.
